Mike Parrill, Sr. picked up his second win in a row and his second Nitemare win in a row Friday night at The Cave Speedway. Joe Shiflett continued his stranglehold on the Sprint Car class at the Cave Speedway Friday night topping the field and picking up another big dollar win with his third straight Dixie Cash win. Arriving late and no hot laps had no effect on Mike Parrill, Sr. Friday night as he picked up his 4th win of the season topping a 19 car field. Joe Shiflett made his first late model win at the Cave a big one, taking the Earl Grimm Memorial Friday night, topping an 18 car field in the season's first extra distance race and only double points race of the season with 4 laps separating 1st through 6th. Dwain Welsh, of WRK (Welsh Race Kars) sponsored the race and presented the trophy and check to Joe in Affordable DJ, Jeff Yost, Victory Lane. This one was down to three laps from 1st to 6th until a late race bobble by Rocket to put the final margin at four laps. Seems like a broken record, but this was a good one with 6 lead changes with 5 of the 6 racers taking their turn at the lead and with position changes every lap. This one was up in the air until a last lap pass by Shiflett to secure the win. Fast qualifying time went to Mike Parrill, Sr. with a 2.398 second lap.
