Vickie Seal reclaimed her former glory Friday night as she topped an impressive field to win her second Sweetheart 100 at The Cave Speedway. Seal started off her evening as the one to beat by turning in fast time and didnt look back as she took home the top spot in the first heat. In her first time at The Cave, Michelle Parrill made the most of her seat time by winning the second heat. Hoping a new last name would help her defend her crown, Carey Good vaulted herself into the feature through the B main bringing Doris Parrill, Beth Piper, and Christie Jensen with her to round out the feature field. In what proved to be anything but a test of speed, Brian Massey showed that touch transcends RPM's. By winning the Dash For Cash, a race composed of the top 6 qualifiers, Massey topped an impressive group of racers that wielded a vast array of Cave experience, from years, to weeks, to only a few races. With the influx of new racers proving to be just as capable of wheeling a Sprint Car as they are a Late Model or a Pure Stock, winning a Sprint Car feature is becoming quite the task, and with $25 to win on the line, it would take a nearly flawless run to win. Luckily Alan Sagi had one more up his sleeve as he would pull his Joe Shifflett powered number 20 into victory lane for the second time during the evening. Sagi started the feature on the pole via his heat one victory but was soon challenged by heat two winner Brian Massey. Massey's hopes for victory were soon dashed by hard charging C main winner Joe Shifflett, who would waste little time slicing through the rest of the field which included B main winner Tyler Williamson. By the last segment, Sagi had no worries as he found space and rode out the remaining laps behind car owner Shifflett. Mike Nail pulled off the trifecta in Pure Stocks during The World, not only did he set fast time, and win the first heat, but he also held on to win the feature. Alan Sagi sailed past the competition in the second heat and Junior Cooper punched his ticket for the feature by topping the third. The three heat winners kept one another within striking distance throughout the majority of the feature until a late tangle with the number 43 of Budd Ritenauer would all but end Sagi's chances of a three peat. That didn't stop Nail and Cooper however, as they would duel to the finish with Nail edging Cooper for the win. C main winner-Matt Williamson, B main winner-Bobby Jones. Since it's inception in 2005, few races garner the attention The Little World 100 does, and only a handful of racers know what it's like to have their car bask in the shadow of The Globe in victory lane. Run on The Fastest Dirt Track Made of Wood, the inaugural running of the race was won by Matt Williamson, the following year saw his younger brother Tyler win the first of his back to back Little World's. Steve Welsh would break the Williamson streak and bring home the first Globe for Dwain Welsh's WRK in 2008. Just like it's bigger counterpart, the Globe far outweighs the cash prize for first in more than just pounds, it has become the crown jewel and the main aspiration for all Cave racers. On Saturday Feb.14 The Little World 100 will begin at 2:00 with a Car Show with qualifying, heats, mains and the $50 to win feature to follow. A $5 entry fee will be collected for this race only and you must race your car show body in The World. Next will be the $25 to win Pure Stock event. After the Pure Stocks, a $25 to win race will be held in the Sprint Car division. The evening will be concluded with a Race Of Champions. Just a reminder to all Cave racers, The Sweetheart 100 will be run on Friday The 13 at 7:30 p.m. witha an open practice for all divisions after the feature has concluded.

Mike Nail put an end to Budd Reitnauer's winning streak on Friday night by topping his first ever feature at The Cave Speedway. Starting the feature on the pole by winning the first heat, Nail staved off both a hard charging Reitnauer and a very determined Alan Sagi. The second heat would be stolen by the Maryland Outlaw Bobby Jones with the third and final heat going to Budd Reitnauer. Budd Reitnauer outdid himself Friday night at The Cave by sweeping both features in the Late Model division. For the first feature, Steve Welsh claimed the pole position by winning the first heat followed by Reitnauer topping the second. Matt Williamson would lead the way in the B main to round out the field. Budd staked out a good starting spot in the second feature by topping the first heat of the latter event where Matt Williamson would soon join him by finishing first in the second heat. Steve Welsh obtained the third starting position by placing his WRK number 12 in the victory circle of the B main.
