The Ol' Waylon Hunerd closed out the 2010-2011 racing season at the Cave Speedway Saturday night, March 12th, with Alan Sagi getting in touch with his "country roots" and claiming the win. Mike Parrill, Sr. was the fast qualifier with a lap time of 2.35 seconds. Ol' Waylon Hunerd results: Alan Sagi, 1st; Tyler Williamson, 2nd; Frenchy Bennington, 3rd; Paul Stump, 4th; Mike Parrill, Sr., 5th; Junior Cooper, 6th; and Rick Williamson, 7th. Junior Cooper was the fastest Pure Stock qualifier with a lap time of 2.69 seconds. Track owner, Rick Williamson, has added one last racing event to close out the Cave Speedway season. The "Ol' Waylon Hunerd" is scheduled for March 12th beginning at 7:00 p.m. . $25 goes to the late model winner. No entry fee! Bring your pure stocks and sprints too for one last night of racing action. Our current list of drivers qualified for the "Race of Champions" are Junior Cooper, Joe Shifflett; Alan Sagi, Tim Hottle, and Jimmy McFarland. Should we have a new winner for the "Ol' Waylon Hunerd" the field will be set for the next Race of Champions.

The last trophy race of the 2010-2011 season at the Cave Speedway is now history. Jimmy McFarland, fast qualifier with a lap time of 2.22 seconds, claimed his first feature win at The Cave by fighting off a late charging Mike Nail to take the checkers. Heat #1 Winner - Jimmy McFarland. Heat #2 Winner - Junior Cooper; Heat #3 Winner - Tim Hottle. C-Main Winner - Mike Nail; B-Main Winner - Brian Massey. There will be an open practice session at The Cave on Thursday, March 3rd, beginning at 6:00. All drivers are encouraged to take advantage of this final tune-up session for the last trophy race of the season, The Bentonville 200, scheduled for March 5th at 7:00 P.M. See you at "The Cave"!

The Sixth Annual Little World 100 weekend, the Cave Speedway's biggest racing event of the season, is now officially in the books and what a weekend it was. The ladies kicked off the weekend on Friday night with the Sweetheart 100 ladies only event. Defending champion, Carey Good, two time past champion Vickie Seal, and Doris Parrill were on hand to vie for bragging rights. When all was said and done Seal came out the winner, leading all 120 laps, the only perfect race ever run at The Cave according to track owner, Rick Williamson. On Saturday the Sprints rolled off at 3:00 p.m. and were the first feature on tap for the day. The field consisted of fast qualifier, Cody, with a lap time of 2.99 seconds. Also on hand were Travis Clark, Alan Sagi, Frenchy Bennington, Bobby Jones, and Brent Hottle.
